Web poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other players receive five cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager is the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays out cash equal to your wager and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
