Internet poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players receive 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pony’s up chips equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
