Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker competitor in the world by many of the top pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before reaching turning 1. His papa showed him to one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was addicted to poker and wished to pickup everything he possibly could about poker. He routinely told his grandparents that he was going to be a professional poker player. Phil did not permit the detrimental feedback from others annihilate his goal of being one of the greatest poker players in the world.
Phil started playing intently after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his techniques at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The initial number of years for him were a learning opportunity and coming away with a win wasn’t a normal thing at the time. Phil became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved 2 final tables and won his 1st WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event.
