Amateurs Strategy for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the western in an awesome game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, not like most other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, new players do not have to be concerned about other, more advanced people winning their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, novices will be able to take their time and scheme while not having to make hasty choices.

It is also much simpler to bet on for a very long time with just a small amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the house is given seven cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
